SHARI
VERONA
BIOGRAPHY
SHARI VERONA has worked in the music industry for over twenty years, beginning with the sheet music division of Columbia Pictures Publications, and behind the scenes at an entertainment agency who formerly booked The Gap Band, The Jacksons, Peaches and Herb and the best of talent for that time.
A number of
artists have obtained recording contracts due to VERONA's innate ability to listen to their voices and write material
specific to their style and range ... as if the artist had written it themselves. VERONA has
the ability to churn out tunes like a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat. She joined ASCAP
in 1981 when in high school; her first songs were signed by Lovey
Music. (Later
affiliated with BMI as a writer and publisher.)
This capability led to requests to write and produce commercials, such as for Yves St. Laurent, jingles for the automobile industry, and theme songs which were placed in films and television.
Verona Music has been the catalyst for many artists landing major recording contracts over the years, teaming up with writers including Tim Sharpton (formerly with Rossington Collins Band), Taka T. (wrote for Whispers and Shalamar), Dave Waterbury, B2K's writers PMG, Motown writer Jimmy Levine and Greg Williams. (El De Barge producer)
One Verona song can be found on The Delfonics' Greatest Hits & More album. Check out more at www.myspace.com/shariverona
